State President's Message

Hello Wisconsin FBLA!

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves at the Regional Leadership Conferences held on February 7th. I was lucky enough to meet with members from Region VII at our conference, and on behalf of your State Officer Team, thank you for the effort put into your events this year, and thank you for your participation in the entertainment held at each of our RLC’s! We hope you had as fantastic of a time as we did.
Now that RLC is over, it’s time to shift our focus to the State Leadership Conference being held in La Crosse, WI, on April 13-14, 2015. In La Crosse, members will have opportunities to compete both in their competitive events and in open events (no registration required), as well as participate in workshops, tours, and scavenger hunts!
This year, each event taking place will be given a code. This code will be used for members to claim online badges through a site called Credly, and students will be chosen at random to receive prizes based on how many badges they’ve collected. Prizes may include Visa gift cards, iTunes cards, t shirts, and more! Being the pilot year, we hope everyone will participate in this great opportunity.
Keep working on your BAA’s, too! These achievements are huge, and we want to recognize you on stage at SLC in La Crosse in April, so contact your adviser if you are not signed up yet. Levels rollover from year to year, so anyone who is not a senior will keep their progress in their BAA’s. For those of you working on your America level, final submissions are due April 25th.
As always, feel free to contact any of the State Officers if you have any questions, want to do a Google Hangout, or would like to start a chapter!
