Dear Wisconsin FBLA,

It’s March! Winter is almost (hopefully) over, and thank goodness! Along with the spring months, warmer weather, and melting snow comes the State Leadership Conference. SLC will be held at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton April 6th through the 8th. This is going to be an awesome two days of competition, workshops, and fun! Be sure to be working on your competitive event speeches, and studying your testing materials, the National Leadership Conference should be your ultimate goal! Comedic Hypnotist Jim Wand will provide the entertainment at the State Leadership Conference. This is a hilarious show, and be sure to attend! I can’t wait to see all of you in a month!

The Wisconsin FBLA Foundation is an organization that is dedicated to supporting Wisconsin FBLA. The Foundation provides stipends for NLC attendees, and for the second year in a row they are sponsoring an Innovation Grant program. Individual members wishing to participate should create a two minute video focusing on their leadership and what they have done with the Business Achievement Awards. The top two individual video winners will receive $125 on stage at the SLC. There is also a chapter component. Chapters wishing to participate are being asked to create a two minute video about what they have done in the community through service projects. The top two chapters will receive $250. These are an awesome opportunity to showcase what you, and/or your chapter have done, and make a little cash!

March is looking to be a busy month in Wisconsin FBLA, be sure to be checking the state website daily for SLC updates, opportunities, and upcoming deadlines! Stay close to your adviser this month, they’ll be busy helping to make sure you succeed! Good luck Wisconsin FBLA, and I’ll see you in April!

Sincerely,

Chelsea Clark

State President
